One of my students is very interested in persuing a career in clay. Her
primary interest is functional wheel work and she is looking for a program
(or apprenticeship possibly)that includes instruction on the business
concerns of running a studio as well as instruction in making pots,
building and firing kilns, glazing, etc. I've told her about the Haywood
Community College program that was mentioned here recently and she is
interested in learning more about it or similar courses of study (2 or 4
year) in either North Carolina or Texas. Any recommendations, including who
to contact for more information would be greatly appreciated. I'll pass
the information along to her.

Thanks!
