A friend who does single firings with cast ware is getting small surface cracks
in the glaze. These are about 1 to 2 inches long. There are usually 1 maybe 2
cracks per item. The cracks do not go through the article, usually large
platters. There is some discoloration where the crack is over the plain clay. I
have consulted Hamer's but no luck. I thought it may be a dunting crack, he
disagrees.
