If you have experience with those suction/vacuum cup holders used to aide
in dipping bowls...etc.. into glaze then please let me hear from you... I
think Axner carries them but don't know for sure... Also want comments on
the "Pure and Simple" molds used for turning plates on a wheel...

Take Care... Marshall

Hi Marshall,
I have the vacuum hand and fountain glazer and find it a great time saver.
The vacuum hand goes on a vacuum pump. I use my pug mill one. You need to
make a rack to put your pots down on after you dip them. The rack allows
you to slide the head stuck to the pot between some slats that will hold
the pot when you let go with the head. The fountain glazer is a gizmo that
shoots a fountain of glaze. If you have a bucket of glaze next to it you
can dip the outside of the pot and "fountain" the inside all in on
process. If you use alot of different glazes there would be some clean out
time devoted to switching the glazes in the fountain glazer. The vacuum
hand can be used without the fountain glazer. The 2 together allow you to
skip waxing on all but wide forms. ALso it gives you an even glaze
application.

Buy an aquarium pump, the smallest and cheapest you can find. Hook up
some clear tubing and drop it in a five gallon bucket.
