The course combines practical work with some theory,
and is designed to de-mystify the glaze making process.
During the week materials will be explored, glaze prediction
using the triaxial graph explained, and other areas of glaze
technology investigated. Tests made during each day will
be fired ready for examination next morning both in electric
oxidation and gas reduction atmospheres.
Mike Bailey is a regular contributor to articles on glazes and
glazing in Ceramic Review, and is well known for his ability
to communicate his considerable store of knowledge to
others.
