Hello!
I was just wondering if you could help me out here. Is it o.k. to put
copper, rutile, and cobalt carb in slips to use on pieces that are not
functional? I want a finish that is a smooth, matt finish with a little
color.
Thank you, ds

DS, I use a white highfire slip and use all sorts of colorants in this
particular one. I use cobalt carb. and copper carb. the most. These two
colorants don't show up right away, but after I put a nice clear glaze on
them and then highfire, they always come out great. I also use a copper
red and don't use reduction, it is clear with a nice crackle pattern.
Hope this helps you, Jennifer Alpine, TX.
