Hello out there,

I've been trying to bring a sense of order out of the chaos that
masquerades as my "office", and realized that I've got quite a lot of old
slides around, from about 1982 on, of the work that I did at Spring
Street Pottery with Mike Frasca and Allan Nairn, as well as from my solo
efforts here in NY. These are mostly depicting ash glazed, single fired
cone 10 reduction pots, and were actually taken by a professional
photographer! Many of them were used to apply to shows, and have all
that kind of writing around the outside frame.

It occurred to me that there may be many of you out there in teaching
situations who might want to augment your slide collections at low cost.
If so, here is the deal I've thunk up:

If you send me a self-addressed stamped envelope (regular business sized)
with $.55 postage (USA), I will put together 5 slides for you in a
plastic sleeve, add a cardboard stiffener, and mail them back to you.
The request should come on your educational institution's letterhead. I
will also add some type of relevant description of the work depicted.
Realize that you may end up with a melange of work spaced out over 15 or
so years. I'll fill requests on a first come, first served basis.

I also have a limited number of sets of slides of architectural
installations that I did with Mike and Allan at Spring Street, mostly bas
relief tile fountains and murals, so specify which you are interested in.

I realize this is self-serving to some extent, but it seems better all
round to have these out of my files and into the hands of someone who
could make use of them.

So, if interested, drop me a line at:

HI Richard,
Read your post. Sounds like a great idea. So good in fact I like to be one of
your fellow clayart people to address the need to have some extra slides to
show my students here at SAC HI.
I teach ceramics here at Sacramento High School. We're always looking
for ways to generate ethusasasm for ceramics, and I thinlk this is a great
way to do this.
So yes I'd like some slides that show your ceramic murals. So I'm sending
this efirst, so you can save me some of your slides. I'll be sending the
letter head by snail-mail.

Thanks again, your fellow potter, R12396@aol.com
