Hi Guys and Gals...anyone have any info on Shimpo Pugmills? Have an
opportunity to get a second hand one and need a bit of your knowledge on if
they are a good machine, recomendations etc. Thanks all.

The Shimpo does a good job but I object to the small handfulls of clay that
you put in the hopper and then having to keep pulling down on the handle to
pug clay.

We have one at school it is great, it has run for 9 years and only a $15
belt needed replacing.
It has had needle tools, bisque chunks, and other items run through it,
but it just keeps on ticking!

It gets a lot of use at least 3 hours a day, 5 days a week. If I were
to buy one I would not hesitate to buy a Shimpo.

Peggy, beware of a used shimpo pugmill, I had one , could not get
replacement parts and ended up trashing it. The shimpo I had only had
bushings at the end of the augers and when they wore out the augers hit each
other and broak up.Reg at Bluemoon.>----------------------------Original
