Greg (re: your question of 2/17),
I just tried a new solution at a show this weekend and was happy with the
results.
I bought some wastebaskets approximately 20" tall, plain white, cone shape
from a local discount chain (similar to K-Mart) for $6 each. I use these to
stack wooden 6'
boards for shelves, so there is a wastebasket at each end of the 6' board. I
didn't want a rustic look, so I covered the boards with navy blue corduroy
fabric to match the rest of my display. The boards are about 10" wide. I
figured I could stack these two shelves high and still be stable. I use
Armstrong screens for the sides of my booth, so I didn't have to worry about
pottery falling off the back. The advantage of the wastebaskets is that they
stack together for transport, and can be used to pack awkward large pieces.
Plus the cost and time involved was minimal (gotta keep making those pots!).
