????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

When you're working in my world, you'll live by my rules.

Well, If I had to pinpoint it I'd say that I feel more crafty than artsy today.

It's important to revolt, just make sure that your work doesn't become
revolting.

Why should an artist who builds a palace with print and paper be any less
respected
than one who builds one in stone, metal and glass.

I'm not trying to change the world, that's boring. I'm trying to create a
new one.

> 1.Is Wollastonite expensive? Is it food safe?

Search it on AltaVista. There are some really interesting pages on the
web about
it. It is calcium silicate, not dangerous. It can however be put into an
unstable
recipe like any other material and thus share the responsibility for
leaching.

> 2. How safe is strontiun carbonate?

How safe are your glazes that employ SrO?

> 3. Are stains in glazes always food safe?

No. If the glaze is unstable then the stain makes it worse. A glazes
stability
will be compromised if it is overloaded with stain. If the chemistry of
a stain
and a glaze don't complement each other well, they could combine to make
a more
leachable product than either parent.
