Howdy, Clayarters,

Thank you for the responses thus far about a sealer for cone 6 oil lamps:

Pottery Sealer @ $4.39 per pint is what I call very spendy.
50% Elmer 50% water sounds just right: I'll try that, which reminds me
that milk might also do the trick - milk scum is impossible to remove once
it's hardened on.

As to Microwaving Laguna 5 Porcelin - There is water in the clay as the
glaze did craze.

Sure am enjoying the rain we got this week - Oregon will now have its
Indian Summer Spring.

sweetened condenced milk boiled and poured in lamps is an old west
virginia remedie for lamp leakage.
