repairing a cress fx27

updated fri 24 oct 97

Patrick & Lynn Hilferty on sat 4 oct 97

I'm looking for a repair person to deal with a Cress FX27 in the S.F. Bay
Area, and /or advice on how to fix this beast. I rebuilt it after it melted
down (cone got stuck in the kiln sitter), but the top and bottom coils
aren't working anymore. Apparently, the only way to check this circuit is
to put a tester to the thing while it's plugged in and working. I think
this is nuts.

Suggestions?

Advice?

Requests for another installment of "The Beautiful Pot: The Head of billg"?

Patrick

NO!!!! You test it by :
1. Unplug it.
2. Using an OHM meter you test each segment of the circuit for
conductivity and test each switch for proper function.
