Hello there in mud world :) I have some questions I hope someone out there
can help me with. I have just aquired an old electric Amaco kiln and I want
to make it into a raku kiln. Due to its meltdown firing, the brick became
cracked and the texture is now hard as opposed to the softness that is
usually found. The kiln is 2 brick deep(heavy sucker). My question is, can I
use it as is or should I take it apart and use the outside layer to make the
kiln with? The other question I have is one about the price of burners. My
supplier told me yesterday he can ship to me a venturi burner which produces
75,000 btu per hour for 31.95 +shipping. I need 2 or 3 of these as my kiln
is 5.1 cu. ft.(which is changeable). Is there a better price out there, or a
burner someone wants to get rid of (hint hint nudge nudge wink wink). You
can e-mail me privately at pam@nowell.mv.com TIA
