I'm thinking about buying a pugmill but don't have much experience with
different brands. Can anyone recomend one to me? I think someone just asked
this question. I erased my e-mail for the past 2 weeks by mistake. Sorry
for the reprint. If it is one.

I also wanted to know what mason stains would retain their color with a cone
10 salt firing, if any. In a neutral firing.

Thank you,
Heather Dixon in Beaufort, SC where we missed the hurricane this time.

with no repairs, the only fault is it only has a 3 inch pug, but I live
with that. I throw directly from the machine, I have heard that a venco
pugs so tight that you can't do that. good luck

Heather:

Glad to year you got bypassed by the hurricane! Don't know anything at
all about pugmills, but if you want to get colors that stay true to cone
10, you might want to give those new DeGussa (sp) stains a try. I have
fired them to cone 10 in salt and reduction and have had very good luck
with the yellow, red and orange. The only Mason Stain I have taken that
high was a black (not the cobalt free one) and it also did fine.
