Dear Dave,
Just got back from my calculator and the results were quite
simple. The shear factor from mounting the wheel on the wall is far too
great. The ceiling is more ideal, where a few bolts to the rafters are
more secure than glue, a seatbelt to hold one in place and a footswitch
to turn on the ceiling fan suspended below you. Locate a hammock just
above the floor below the ceiling fan. Adjust the slack in the hammock
for the curve necessary for the elephant trunk. Begin throwing, gravity
will take care of the pull, when proper length is achieved, hit the
footswitch and the fan will slice and release the chosen length of clay
which will now come to rest in the hammock with your toaster oven set
below.
Good Luck,
Gabriola Engineering
