Are there any potters in the North Jersey area, approximately 1 hours
radius of Haledon (which is bordered by Paterson, Wayne and North
Haledon), who would be interested helping me? I have had four years of
ceramics/pottery at William Paterson College (now a University). I have
not been able to do as much with it over the past year and a half due to
needing immediate $$$, getting married and moving. As I have mentioned
before, I have a wheel at my parents house. I can spend about a day a
week there, at this point. I would like to find someone that I can work
with and possibly help at their studio, cleaning or doing whatever in
exchange for firing priviledges, and learning more about electric kilns
and the "business of potting". I cannot commit all my time to doing
this, due to the fact that money needs are an unfortunate reality.
