> Claudia,

Mike Imes was a wonderful pinch potter working out of the Floyds Knobs,
KY area. I've got a couple of his pinch pots which I love and use all
the time. I've seen pinch bowls of his that were up to two feet in
diameter. He unfortunately (to the clay community) gave up potting some
years ago and last I heard (I've now lost touch with him) was in the
computer field.

Barbara Walch of Maine (used to be Massachusetts) is another potter
making pinch pots for a living. She was one of the founders of Pinch
Pottery (with Mara Superior and Leslie Ferrin) in Northampton, MA.

Richard and others who might be interested--

Mike Imes, his wife Dawn and their three kids live about 45 minutes
southwest of Milwaukee. They both teach at a Waldorf school and Mike
occasionally makes some of his wonderful pinch pots. In fact, I just fired
about a half a load of them earlier this summer. Mike is not and has never
been into computers! :-)
