Wendy,
I'm curious. What else (besides the grog) is in the Piepenburg Raku body
that you mention? All of the Piepenburg Raku bodies that I have used have
had Kyanite in them and not grog.

Hi John,
I buy the clay alread bagged and wet. The recipe in Pieppenburgs book is as
follows:
Handbuilding clay
1 Cedar heights fireclay (50 mesh)
1 Hawthorn bonding fireclay (35 mesh)
3/4 Virginia kyanite (35 mesh)
1/4 Lake Michigan beach sand (45 mesh) optional

Throwing clay
2 Cedar heights Goldart
1 Kentucky OM4 ball clay
1/4 Virginia kyanaite (35 mesh)
1/8 Lake Michigan beach sand (45 mesh) optional

Good luck,
Wendy
