painting a kiln frame / valve springs

We used a Rustoleum (Spelling?) type paint... and just brushed it on. I
suggest using any good primer paint with rust inhibitors. We have had
very good luck with it... the heat of the kiln does not affect it too much
except areas over the door (we have a car kiln)... Don't forget about using
valve springs in the construction of your frame work.. they really help the
frame to flex and still maintain tension... We also placed springs beneath
the 4 corner frames... Most auto junk yards have them.... Marshall
