Any of you thinking of running up to Mt. St. Helen's and loading up on
ash may want to consider that it is probably illegal - just like it's
illegal to run up and take rocks or plants from the National Parks.

Just a thought.

I don't think anyone has to worry about not
finding legal supplies of Mt. St. Helen's ash.
She did a pretty good job of spreading it
around. Actually, you don't have to go too far
from I-5 to find the piles they dredged out of the
river just to get the thing flowing again. You can
see them from the highway unless, of course,
they paved paradise and put up a parking lot
since I was last through that stretch...
