Dear Clayarters,
I am moving back to Asheville, NC and I was wondering if anyone knows of any
clay guilds or any groups like this that would be suitable for someone just
starting out. I am looking for some kind of group or something that will
introduce me to people in the area with similar interests. I lived there
before and unfortunately did not have the benefit of the Clayart list nor
did I know that such groups existed. I have spent the summer here in
Columbia, SC and met Steven Hewitt. He has a ceramics program with the
parks dept. and is also in a clay guild here. He was the first person to
ever mention such a thing to me. They do group buys for materials as well
as putting on sales and shows.
Anyway, I was just wondering if anyone knows of anything like this in Asheville.

Check our Oddessy Clay Center in Asheville. Don Davis (former RISD class
mate) is the coordinator of the program. Killer facilities.
