Molochite is a formulated calcine available in a variety of sizes. It is
indeed a white grog and has many beneficical qualities. many suppliers
carry this product. It is imported from the UK by Hammil and Gillespie.

Another specific formulated caline domestically produced is called Mulcoa,
available from CE Minerals in many grinds.

Conventional Grog is a biog offender in clay bodies.

These products are much more expensive then grog. Grog as we know is is
nothing more than ground firebrick culs. I for one would not use grog as if
the fire bricks are culs, other than dimensionally, why put this junk in
your clay body? Spend some extra money on the above mentoned calcines and
have a clay body that works.

Thanks all for the information about molochite. I believe the 120 mesh
was what I had--it was a gritty powder. I would second Jonathan's
recommendation for use----it worked really well in the porcelain body I
used.
Have a good holiday everyone!

Remember there is a full moon this night--only the second one on
Christmas night in this century!....Everyone get out there and draw down
the energy......
