Dan -
Louise Cort, curator of Japanese ceramics at the Sackler-Freer (Smithsonian)
has written two of the finest books on medieval Japanese ceramics. The best
one is simply titled SHIGARAKI. The other is SETO AND MINO CERAMICS. This
information is from my son, Morgan, who is a doctoral student in medieval
Japanese ceramics at Princeton (yep, I'm damned proud of him). If you have
more specific questions on this subject I can forward them to him.
