A while back there was an inquiry about purchasing majolica brushes in
Florence. I printed the response for my file and then misplaced it - sorry.
Any info on finding majolica brushes in Florence (or Sienna or Bologna)
would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Maggie

Over a year ago someone requested information on Majolica brushes. At the
time I responded saying that I was also looking to buy these brushes. I now
know where to buy them. They are sold at an art supply store in Florence.
A friend s daughter was visiting Florence and found the store and actually
purchased several brushes for me. The store is called Zecchi. The address
is: Via dello Studio , 19r
50122 Firenze
Italia
Tel. +39 55 21 14 70
Fax. +39 55 21 06 90
Prices are in Italian Lira and can be ordered by letter or fax and by air
mail and ordered on American Express, Visa or MasterCard. The brushes that
I have are do not seem to be in the catalog I received but are on a separate
sheet of paper put in the catalog. It is serie 78 . The brush has the
ability to retain colorant because of it s special shape. I have brushes
size 14, 16 and 18. There is really not too much difference in the sizing
to show much difference when using it. I would like to try some of the
smaller sizes to try to get even thinner lines. I hope this is helpful to
the person that put in the request all those months ago.

If the original request for the brushes was from me, I bought some in
Firenze last year on my honeymoon (belated). Thanks.
