Just a quick reminder: Magdalene Odundo will offer two programs at the Nation
al Museum of African Art, Smithsonian Institution, Washington, DC on Saturday,
October 26, 1996: Pottery Demonstration from 10:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. on the se
cond level in the Workshop/Lecture Hall; a gallery talk at 3:00 p.m. in her exh
ibition on the first level.
These programs are free and open to the public. Sorry, reservations can not be
made.

I attended a one-day workshop with her at Winnie Owens-Hart's studio when her
show was up at the Museum of African Art here in DC. She also gave a demo at
the Museum. I don't have her number or address, but you might be able to get
them from Winnie Owens-Hart. Winnie teaches at Howard U in DC.

Hi Jeffrey
I haven't been to a workshop, but I did go to a talk/slide
presentation that Magdalene did a year or three back, and I thought
she was great and I would try to get to a workshop of hers if one
became available. She arrived with apologies for having to talk
through a rotten cold and cough, but she struggled on, and we were
all very sympathetic, but very pleased she hadn't cancelled! Lovely
personality, and she explained her work really well.
Don't know about contacting her. I vaguely recall she said she
lived outside London in the countryside somewhere. If inspiration
strikes on how to find out I'll let you know.
