light rutile

For many years I have been using light and not dark rutile. About two years
ago or slightly longer my regular dealer stopped carrying it. Since then
after moving around from state to state etc. and trying different people I
find I cannot find it anywhere.

My questions are: 1) Is there really a direrence in the color of my glaze
or is it my imagination? 2) Is the difference between the between the dark
and light one of where it is mined or in the refining of it. 3) Now, of
course, where can I find light rutile, if it still exists.

I believe that the difference is in the amount of iron. Dark rutile has
more and yes I have seen the color be darker in a firing than with the
light rutile. I have light rutile. I got it from US Pigment. They
advertise in CM.
