kyanite in raku body

TW: I've made up the Kemenyffy body (see Steven Branfman's "Raku--a
practical approach" Page 22) and wrote the Ks for data on the fireclay
(Frederick f.c. they did not know its chem analysis). This is a
thermally resistant body but it still takes some coddling (dry slowly).
Steven B cites the K body as:
30.0 Kyanite 35 mesh
33.0 Goldart clay
33.0 Frederick f.c.
I revised this to (for 10 kg):
3.5 Goldart
2.0 Hawthorn f.c.
3.0 Kyanite 100 mesh (or 50 mesh or 35 mesh, depending on
forming method).
1.0 Flint (silica sand 50-70 mesh would be best)
0.25 G-200 feldspar or equal
0.15 EPK (or equal)
0.10 Talc
This body worked fine. But rather than weigh out the
small amounts of the trace materials to match the K body's presumed
formula, I decided that this would do:
34 Goldart
33 Kyanite
32 Hawthorn
1 Silica sand
It is close enough and workable too. That's what some of us use around
here now. It's pretty tough.
