I have been asked to pass the word about the following workshops.
University of Wisconsin River Falls offers Art Weeks I & II at the
Pigeon Lake Field Station, Drummond, Wisconsin. One week sessions in
the following areas:
Clay, Photography, Printmaking, Glass, Art Therapy, Painting & Drawing
Art Week I: June 15 - June 21 (2 credits for each workshop)
Art Week II: June 22 - June 28 (non-credit workshops)
Clay is being taught by Randy J. Johnston and Jan McKeachie Johnston.
Intermediate through professional skill level. Handbuilding and
throwing with an emphasis on different firing techniques including salt
glazing, raku, and pit firing. Fees include all materials, firing,
lodging and meals. Fees for the workshop are $432.
The Field Station is located is the north woods of Wisconsin, and offers
rustic lakeside cabins, wonderful canoeing & biking and beachside
bonfires. It is a great place to relax and learn.
