Don't miss the Dingle Peninsula for sheer awesome beauty and a pottery
that has wonderful things right on the road. Jeni in Denver

Greetings from Seattle:

If you fly into Shannon, and hire (rent a car) drive into Limerick. Visit
the Regional Technical College which has a ceramics program. Either
connect with the Dennisons (faculty) or Kieran Whitelaw (faculty/tech.)
Then head "to the West" In Co Kilkenny is Nicolas Mosse Pottery at
Bennettbridge. Also in Co. Kilkenny is the Pottery Skills Course at Thomastown. A
B&B in the area is The Tower. The Crafts Council of Ireland at Powerscourt
Townhouse Center, Dublin 2, Irish Republic., maintains an extensive list
of potters. Just follow the west coast and you'll find potteries thick on
the ground. Of course the variety of quality varies significantly. Ireland
is a wonderful place to visit with very friendly people. I'd love to have
a pint of the plain right now!
