My wife and I will be visiting the South Padre Island/San Antonio region
January 24 to Feb 7. Would enjoy a visit with any potters in that area. If
you live in the vicinity and have time for a coffee, please drop us a line.
FYI I am a production potter, doing a full line of table ware, working at
^6. TIA

Make sure that you visit the Southwest Craft Center in San Antonio. Its in
the downtown area, just a few blocks from the Alamo. Its a wonderful
facility in an old stone convent with studio space and galleries.

Though currently residing in Tennessee, I continue to call South Texas
(particularly the San Antonio area) home. I do not personally know any potters
in the area but would like to suggest, if you have the time, that you visit the
Southwest Craft Center located in downtown San Antonio. They have a very active
ceramics department and currently Eddie Dominquez is the artist-in-residence.
The public is always invited to visit the artist and view his work in progress.
The Center is housed in the former Ursuline Academy and Convent which was
commissioned by the French Catholic order in 1848. The building itself, is in
my opinion, worth adding to your list of "things to see & do". Have fun!
