The most recent English copy of Kerameiki Techni just arrived. Those who
are lucky enough
to have a subscription will agree with me that it is a splendid issue
and my hands are itching toget into clay again.

The cover photo is of a piece by Pierre Bayle (French, terra sig), and
there is also a pretty long article about his exhibition at Sevres and his
new book, and pages and pages or colour photographs of his work.

Other personal favourites: Claui Casanovas, (Catalan, somehow the opposite
of Bayle, but I feel overwhelmed by both of them: the smoth perfection and
elegance and skill of Bayle and the daring creativity and complexity that
knows no limitations of Casanovas. The photo coverage is excellent, but
you have to touch their work to really feel their obsession with their
work); Claire Bogino, Kristina Riska, long article on Jun Kaneko (I heard
he might come to the next Edmonton
Ceramics Symposium in 98?) ; coverage of Triennial of Jugoslav Ceramics,
Fletcher Challenge, General Assembly Japan 1996 (International
Academy of Ceramics in Nagoya City, etc. all in glossy colour. More about
the Greek Canadian Intercultural Symposium here in Banff in 1996, to be
continued in 1997 in Greece, and so on. A truly international coverage.

If anybody is interested in subscription information, I'll send it out.

-I hope he does something in Claude Champy soon.....

A great way to spend a weekend of near -40C sunshine.....

Some time ago, someone on the list put an address link for a greek
ceramic magazine. When I tried to follow the link, it didn't work.
Could anyone tell me what the link really is, or else the name of the
magazine and how to contact them? I have a greek student who would
really like to know!

Thanks....June

dear barbara,
i love that magazine!
i`ve just got it yesterday and i even have my recent
show listed there, with a picture of a piece of mine
on the poster. (i`m in an excellent company, i must
say, and very happy about it.)
i think it is such a great idea to have a poster in
every issue, i used them as a wallpaper in my studio.
very inspirational.
i read the jack troy article last night, what a
wonderful trip you had.
hope to see you at nceca,
marta

Great issue. I was searching for a few familiar faces in the article
about the Greek conference. It is a really beautiful magazine.
The illustration are of the highest quality and they cover the comp[lete
world of ceramics. I enjoy reading the entire issue.
