Hello again!
I just have to ask about one more thing, than, I promise to leave you
alone for the rest of the DAY! Is it ok to fire a ^10 clay with a cone
6 glaze to a ^7 or ^8. The reason I ask is that, I spoke with someone
over the phone when I placed an order, and he recommended that I fire my
pieces in this manner. I am doing alot of experimenting-obviously, due
to the new ^10 electric "automagic" kiln I just purchased; however, I
don't want to go overboard- if you know what I mean.
THANKING YOU!

I have fired cone 10 clay bodies to cone 6 before with no prroblems. As
for purposely over firing glazes I know some who claim that over firing
some glazes actually gives better results. I have never tried it, but a
few test tiles should show you if it will work for your glazes.
