glaze blistering

John, a late reply, but one that we found. The clay company ran into
problems with their grog (ground firebrick) being inconsistent. It would
clump (combined, I think, with some lack of attention to proper mixing times)
and voila...major bloating in a piece here and there. When you cracked the
bloats open, there was a gritty mixture inside, not vitrified at all. Of
course, the clay company has no liability (G)>
