fibre in the pugmill

updated thu 31 oct 96

Along with three other bodies we have been using a local commercial clay in
our studio that contains fibre. Of course some of it ends up in the slop
that is then used by students to make more clay. This new body is
sometimes pugged and the fibre is constantly plugging up the screens on the
deairing pugmill.

My question to you fibre heads out there is: does this present a problem
to you and how do you solve it?????????

Separate slop containers is not the answer because it is already being
done. I have 100 people a week, from beginners to wannabe gradual students
using the studio.

Thanks for any ideas.

Also: firing the six chamber wood kiln in Grass Valley, CA in mid November
and there is room for a couple more participants. Contact me directly if
interested.
