I have a good friend who is going to be in England later in the year. He
would like to visit the Leach pottery and other potters in the area.
Information from anyone who has been there would be helpful to him.
Suggestions from those who know something about the area is also welcome.
Unfortunately he has only a day or two to spend there.
Thanks,
Anne

First: buy Potters, a book with photos, addresses and phones of all the
juried potters in England. John Leach is at Muchelney Pottery near Langport,
Somerset. His #: (01458)250324. Shop open but studio viewing by appointment.
Svend Bayer is nearby in Beaworthy.

That book is available from Ceramic Review, 21 Carnaby Street, London. We
started in St. Ives, good museum, good sculpture of Ruth Duckworth?, original
Bernard Leach studio run by his widow, Janet. Went to David Leach's studio.
He was really nice. Then on to John and Svend whom I had studied with. Stayed
in a great B&B outside Loo (sp?) I've very jealous.
