See if you can get the fire marshall...or your insurance risk manager to
"bless " the installation. The landlord doesn't know about kilns...he only
fears the fire that might result. (RISK/Benefit)

It might be an interesting academic challenge to "change his mind", but if
the fire marsahll sez it can be done safely and dictates some parameters of
safety which you can do in that space....use THAT as your reasoning.

He may or may not care to listen, but he certainly won't care what I as a
potter, in Bennington, say about kiln safety. I haven't seen what you want
to do and I wouldn't dare give you an opinion unless I was standing right
there looking at the location and the kiln and the wiring and the
ventilation system.
