Hi Lisa,

Here is a recipe for a very deep chocolate claybody that I fire to cone 8 in
oxidation. I have been told that it has been successfully fired to cone 10
but I would test it first and possibly omit the Nepheline Syenite.

Post's Blackbird Body

Blackbird Clay (Barnard) 50#
OM4 Ball Clay 50#
Hawthorn Bond Fireclay 25#
Jordan or Goldart 25#
Nepheline Syenite 10#

*My original recipe calls for the Jordan, but I have subbed Goldart and it
was fine.
