I am going to be testing some crystaline glazes in my new (computerized)
Skutt kiln. I would appreciate any help from anyone experienced in this
area. I have a couple ^ 3-4 glazes to try..Any glaze formulas or firing
schedules would be helpful. Thanks in advance. JoAnn Axford

I used to do some ^10 crystaline glazes. The critical time for this type
of glaze is the cooling cycle. Take your firing to peak at any normal
rate, then cool 100 degrees or so. Holdfor thirty minutes to allow the
crystals to develop. The Sanders book recommended in other mail is my
favorite and the source for the glazes I developed. Good luck.

The correct URL is http://www.barra.se/stoneware
Go for Glaze Page - recipes - crystal. Look also on
the Exhibitions.
