Somewhat off subject, true. But this group knows about such undertakings...

Tell me all you know about casting concrete art in molds, or apprise of
book titles.

Mucho appreciato!

I have helped on a few full body casts and done some faces in concrete.
What we did was make a plaster cast......then I believe we spread crisco
into the mold......then mixed concrete and put a hardner in the mix and
poured the concrete into the mold.....spread it around a bit and maybe
even cut some strips of burlap and dipped them into the cement and
layered them till, depending on the piece,it was about 1 inch thick.
After it is hard....you rip the casting off and voila! Rough spots have
to be filed....ground down....etc if you want it real smooth. Sometimes
it comes out near perfect!

Good Luck I hope this gives you a starting point!

So sorry, I forgot to mention:

You want to let the concrete dry slowly......maybe cover and spray
gently with fine spray of water....The slower it hardens the stronger it
is......Right?

Probably others can fill in more details....
