clipart for potters

Hi everyone

I am new to clayart and loving it. I am also, a new full time potter and
since I decided to take the plunge, I figure I had better develop some
brochures and get me some of that "glitzy presentation" stuff to compete. I
can't seem to find any clip art related to potting. Does anyone know of any
clipart packages that contain potting images? I have a PC and MS Pub and
Corel Printhouse. Would anyone be willing to send me copies of their
brochures?

Jo Ann Stevens,

PS. I can't believe what I have learned from this group. Thank you, thank
you all.

>Jo Ann Stevens,

Haven't found any pottery clipart files for the PC *yet*. However... if
you have (or have access to) a scanner, then all you need is a clipart book
on pottery. There's at least one clipart book specifically for potters that
I know of. It's called "Ceramic Advertising" by Jeff and Lauren Cole, if
I'm not mistaken Axner Pottery Supply sells it. You could try contacting
them at... axner@accessorl.net
I've also come across the odd pottery clipart in "period" clipart books
(eg. Art Nouveau and Art Deco, etc.) These books should be readily
available in most graphic art supply stores. (graphic suppliers have "some"
clipart on disk)
Another possibility for this sort of information is to go direct to "Dover
Publications", they're the source for a lot of the clipart books anyhow.
(when I used to order from them they were very good to deal with) The nice
thing about these books is that the graphics are copyright free (any of the
one's I've seen).
My unsolicited personal opinion is to use clipart sparingly - if at all.
Sometimes it works out but usually I find it's better as a guide/reference
material or maybe just as a place to start out when all else fails. *8)
Anyhow, if you want more details on any of this send me an email.

Cheers... Jim

The email address for Axner is AXNER@ATTMAIL.COM. Big bonus here: they have

email. Send your order Attention Kelly.
