classes/studio in co

One of my students will be moving to Colorado (Boulder area) in February.

Normally I wouldn't ask, but this one really has it bad for the wheel...

Does anyone have information on a studio where he could take classes/rent
studio space. He is very dedicated to this, and I think that he would
really benefit from some type of arrangement with a studio potter.

Any info is appreciated.

TIA

Jonathan:

There are excellent facilities at the Arvada Center for the Arts and
Humanities in Arvada (about 20 miles from Boulder) there is also the Boulder
Potter's Guild and the Firehouse Pottery in Boulder. The Guild is rumored
to be hard to get into (waiting lists, etc.) but I don't know that for a
fact so your student should call and check on that. The Firehouse Pottery
is near CU and although I personally have never been there, I know several
people via workshops who work there and enjoy it. There's lots of nice
potters in this area who would be willing to help a newcomer find a place.
Give your student my name and number and have him give me a call when he
gets to town.
