hello,
this is my first message although i have been subscribed for a couple
months now.
i'm a student and will be coming up for bfa review soon. currently, i'm
researching recipes for buff stoneware that are fairly inexpensive - i
know neph sy can be pricey.
i work sculpturally and fairly large (30"). i will be firing to
mid-range to keep the body open because i do multiple firings using
layers of engobes, slips, stains, oxides, and whatever else i can get my
hands on - the desired result being a surface with gobs of texture and
depth.
anyone out there have any recipes that would fit?
