I have a friend who is also visiting England this summer. He is interested
in seeing pottery created by Bryan Newman and Ian Godfrey, but isn't sure
where to look. He is also interested in any books about these potters.
Thanks for your help.

Many years ago Bryan Newman decided to operate a cash and carry business
only (with the exception of shipping to one store in Wells, Somerset, maybe
one other), so you may have to go to his studio which is in Aller, Somerset
near Langport. It is a very small village so you won't have any problem
finding it. Just up the road is Muchelney where Johnny Leach has his studio.
Ian Godfrey and I used to be students together at Camberwell School of Art
in London and the last I heard he had left this World, a great shame as
apart from his work he was an incredibly lively person with a wicked sense
of humour.
Both of them have work in various collections but my memory escapes me, I
will have to do some research. Hope this helps.
Cheers, John.
