barium leaching out of glazes

I'm looking for information on the dangers of Barium leaching out of
glazes. I have used Barium Carb.in a few of my cone 6 oxidized glazes for
some years now and, although I am aware of the health hazards in handling
the raw stuff,what about the users of my functional ware ?

John, Please,please,to all glaze honchos out there. We stopped using
Barium years ago simply because of our suspicions of toxicity. There are
far less dnagerous substances one may use.Don & Isao Sanami/Morrill.On
