She should find a local blacksmith to do the work for her. Of course,
blacksmiths aren't always that easy to find. Try asking your reference
librarian for information on local historical reenactment groups. Middle
ages, Renaissance, or Civil War/western expansion/mountain men groups may
be able to put you in touch with the right person.

Garden outlets here in Canada like White Rose nurseries are selling those
metal stands in a variety of sizes for planters.

Cindy, Surely, any local welder should be able to construct tripods quite
easily and for a reassonalbe price. D.
