1997 mexico pre-nceca conference trip

Join David Furman on his fourth pre-NCECA conference trip south of the
border. He is offering NCECA members a four day/three night pre-conference
trip to Mexico City in conjunction with the 31st annual NCECA
conference, to be held in Las Vegas.

Due to airplane and hotel limitations, the trip will be limited to 32
people. This pre-conference package will include air transportation to and
from Las Vegas/Mexico city, hotel accommodations for three nights, and a
variety of optional activities. These may include a visit to the National
Museum of Anthropology, the Pyramids at Teotihuacan, the restoration of
the Great Temple, the Ballet Folklorico at the Palace of Fine Arts, a
visit to Freda Kahlo and Diego Rivera's home, among others. This will be a
fun and provocative adventure for a group of independent travelers!

The hotel(built in 1842!)is five short blocks from the Zocolo, the center
of the City. There is a restaurant and bar in the hotel, and others close
by. Pre-conference travelers should be aware that accommodations are double
occupancy with private bath, fresh linens and towels provided. There are a
limited number of single rooms available on a first request basis.

The flight will leave Las Vegas Saturday, March 29 at 7:29AM and arrive in
Mexico City At 2:45 PM. The return flight will leave Mexico City on April
1, at 9:30PM and arrive Las Vegas at 11:30PM. Current passports/proof of
citizenship are necessary for travel to Mexico. Travelers will have to pay
an additional International Departure Tax of $12.50 at the airport in
Mexico city prior to departure. Please call your hotel in Las Vegas to
make arrangements to hold Las Vegas luggage until your return.

The cost of this trip is $335(US) for a double room, $365(US)for a single.
This will include round trip airfare from Las Vegas, US International
departure tax, transportation to and from the airport to the hotel in
Mexico City, and three nights in the Hotel in Mexico City. Travelers
should be prepared to cover all personal expenses while on the trip.
