I am wondering if it is possible to get the potters in the NorthEast area
and find out how many of us there are.
It seems that there are a lot of us, and that were are so spread out.
I have heard that in California, they had a gathering for the hungry or
homeless and the Potters donated bowls to the cause. The local restaurants
cooked and the people that came brought the bowls and they got to fill up on
the food for free- publishing the resturant and the Potters got to donate the
amount for the bowl or at least part of it, to the homeless shetler
Would any one be intrested in a gathering of similar intrest?

Please reply to me personally- if you would be intrested.

I am gathering a list for the future and everyone that replys will be add to
that list only

Here in Greensboro, potters are asked to donate as many bowls as they can to
just such a drive. We make the bowls and local restaurants make the soup.
Patrons buy the bowls (I'm not clear here if they're auctioned or not) and
they are filled with soup. The money goes to the local shelters.

About a month ago ten students from SUNY Plattsburgh participated in a
similar event. We had a soup dinner, ingredients donnated from local
grocery stores and we made soup and desserts for about 110 people. We
raised over $800 and the money was donated to Plattsburgh Food Shelf. The
cost of the dinner was $6 and the guests were allowed to take their bowls
home. It was a very good idea.
