Please help!

I am a new potter and have an opportunity to purchase a used Sno kiln
Model #P27 (240 Volts, 45 Amps, 27"high, 23"wide, auto shut off - kiln
sitter model #LT3K). I understand the manufacturer has been out of
business about 10 years. The current owner bought it used (it's about
15 years old). The seller has about 6 half shelves and lots of
stilts, but no manuals. The kiln looks like it's in pretty good shape
(I noticed a two bricks had medium size chips). The asking price is
$300.

Is this a fair price? If not, what is?

How high will this kiln fire (to what cone)?

Does anyone out there have a manual that I could buy (or make me a
copy that I could buy)?

What is the life expectancy of this type of kiln (# of years for
useful life)?

What should I look for (pitfalls)?

How can you tell if you need to replace a brick?

Can I replace a brick (is it difficult)?

Do I need to tell my electrician anything specific to install
(currently building a new house - best time to get it right; the first
time!!!)?

Should I use a vent of any kind if firing in an unfinished basement
(near a window)?

Any information would be useful, since I obviously know just about
nothing!!! Thanks in advance. You can email me privately if you wish

I can't believe it's Labor Day already. My husband and I (as the
general contractor) started building our house on Memorial Day (and
yes, we are still speaking). Life is good... we have drywall.
